  To get from one city to the next means a bus ride of a few hours (3-5) between Assisi and Venice and another from Rome to Amalfi. the distance between Rome and Florence is less. The buses are large, air-conditioned, with plenty of leg room and a "toeletta." The scenery is beautiful and you can always ... read, write, or nap. There is a comfort stop along the way to get out, walk around, and get something to eat or drink. You can look at a map to see the distances between the cities we will be visiting. The only one night stay is in Assisi. All the rest are two or more.

• Items of value should never go in your checked luggage such as cash, jewelry, medication, travel documents and a list of everything in your check baggage.
• If your luggage does not make it to your destination the same time you do, be prepared and pack a change of clothes in your Carry-On Bag..
• You might also consider one-day items, in other words, all the items you would need to make it through a 24-hour day, just in case your luggage goes missing.
